New York, NY : 89 year-old man struck, killed by FDNY ambulance in Queens on Wednesday night, December 28, 2016
A New York City fire department ambulance has struck and killed an 89 year-old man in Queens.
Police say the man was trying to cross the Cross Island Parkway Wednesday night when he was hit by an ambulance traveling southbound.
The ambulance stopped and police say emergency personnel inside provided assistance.
The unidentified man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made.
The investigation is ongoing.
