West Lafayette, IN : Three people killed in a crash on Sunday morning, March 5, 2017

A crash near the intersection of Cherry Lane and McCormick Road left three dead on Sunday morning, according to West Lafayette police.

West Lafayette Sgt. Stason Wiete said the crash occurred around 4 a.m.

"There isn't a whole lot we are releasing currently," Wiete said. "As we are still actively investigating."

Wiete said the crash is being investigated with the Tippecanoe County coroner. The West Lafayette Fire Department as well as the Tippecanoe County Emergency Management Agency are actively assisting the investigation, he said.

By Sunday evening, Wiete said investigators were still working to identify those killed.
