Las Vegas, NV : Church bus crashes into steel bar at Las Vegas airport Thursday, July 14, 2016
A church bus driver is uninjured after he crashed into an overhead height restriction bar at the Las Vegas airport.
Airport spokeswoman Christine Crews says the driver from Kingdom Life Ministries was on his way to pick people up at McCarran International Airport on Thursday.
She says he disregarded a height warning and crashed into the 7-foot steel bar, peeling off the roof of the bus. The driver was the only occupant of the bus.
Crews says drivers trying to get to employee, valet, short-term and long-term parking areas after the crash were temporarily redirected to other lots and drivers for ride-hailing companies such as Uber and Lyft were delayed.
