Oxnard, CA : One person dead after truck crashes into ditch in Oxnard on Sunday, Nov 15, 2015

The driver of a pickup died late Sunday night after the vehicle ended up overturned in a ditch near the intersection of Hueneme Road and Rice Avenue.

Ventura County Fire responded to the accident, which was reported at 11:38 p.m., and tried to pull the person from the truck.

Authorities said the patient had died at the scene. No other vehicles or people appeared to be involved, they said.

Investigators were still on scene after 12:15 a.m.
