The Mississippi Highway Patrol says two pedestrians were struck and killed while crossing Mississippi 609 north of Ocean Springs.
Lt. Johnny Poulos said the vehicle was southbound on 609 Monday night when it struck the pedestrians, who were in the right lane, in front of a motel.
Jackson County coroner Vicki Broadus tells The Sun Herald the victims are brother and sister.
She says other information is being withheld until next of kin is notified.
Poulos said the accident is still under investigation.
