A Phillipston man was flown to a Worcester hospital with serious injuries after his Mercedes crashed into a tree Wednesday morning.
The Fire Department had to extricate John McCall, 39, from his 2003 Mercedes after the 10:57 a.m. accident at 561 Mechanic St. Police Captain Michael Ciccolini said he does not believe Mr. McCall's injuries are life-threatening.
The Lifeflight helicopter landed about 100 yards away on Mechanic Street at the old landfill. The man was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center — University Campus in Worcester.
