Great Falls,MT : Columbia Falls woman killed on icy roads near Kalispell on February, Monday 26th 2018
A 48-year-old Columbia Falls woman was killed in a crash near Kalispell Monday evening, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.
The two-vehicle crash occurred just after 6 p.m. at mile marker 49 on Montana Highway 35 east of Kalispell.
The woman, driving a Chevrolet Silverado, was southbound when she lost control of her vehicle on icy roads. The truck crossed the center line into the northbound lane, colliding with a Jeep Liberty driven by a 60-year-old female from Kalispell.
The Kalispell woman was wearing her seatbelt and was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries. The Columbia Falls woman was killed. It is unknown if she was wearing a seatbelt.
Alcohol, speed and drugs are not suspected as factors in the crash, and no names have been released at this time.
