Cleveland, OH : Driver of a stolen van crashed into two utility poles overnight at E. 185th and Lakeshore on Thursday September 18th 2014

Police say the driver of a stolen van crashed into two utility poles overnight at E. 185th and Lakeshore. The juvenile passenger was taken to the hospital but police are still looking for the driver. According to Eastlake Police, an officer tried to pull over a suspicious vehicle in the Surfside area when the driver tried to ram the police cruiser. While pursuing the 2001 Dodge Caravan, officers learned it had been reported stolen from Euclid. The van went west on Lakeshore Boulevard through Willowick and Euclid. Eastlake Police say the driver tried to turn south onto East 185th Street in Cleveland but lost control and crashed. The 16-year-old passenger was taken to Metro Health Medical Center and will be facing charges of resisting arrest and receiving stolen property.
