Culpeper,VI : Aroda woman charged following crash on September, Sunday 10th 2017

An Aroda woman was charged with driving under the influence of drugs following a car crash Sunday afternoon on Cherry Hill Road.

According to the Virginia State Police, 45-year-old Lisa S. Wilson was traveling westbound on Cherry Hill Road at about 5:30 p.m. when her 2002 Toyota pickup truck crossed the center line and struck a 1987 Chevy pulling a trailer.

The driver of the Chevy, Sheila Rutherford, 45, of Culpeper, and her 11-year-old passenger were transported to Culpeper Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Both were released, according to VSP spokesman Sgt. Les Tyler.

Medics also took Wilson to CMC where she was treated and then taken into custody, Tyler said. As of Monday, she was held without bond at the jail in Culpeper.
