WICHITA, KS : 1 killed, 1 hurt in NW Wichita crash on Wednesday, 27th October, 2020

A 14-year-old girl died from her injuries in a late-Wednesday-morning crash in northwest Wichita. Police said the girl was a passenger in a red Pontiac G6, driven by her father, who was critically injured in the crash reported about 11:30 a.m. near 9th Street and Tyler Road.

Police say the Pontiac was traveling down Tyler Road at a high rate of speed near 10th Street when it hit a dip in the road. The car went airborne, clipped one pickup and then spun, crashing into a second, oncoming pickup. Police said the teen died at the scene. At least one of the pickup drivers involved in the crash suffered minor injuries, police said.
