Pittsburgh , PA : Two drivers and Three passengers injured after car vs Port Authority bus Head-on collision on Friday Morning , May 1st 2015
A transit bus has been hit by an oncoming car in Pittsburgh, injuring both drivers and two passengers aboard the bus.
Port Authority of Allegheny County spokesman Jim Ritchie says the bus was traveling in a lane along the curb of Penn Avenue, a major artery, when a car coming in the opposite direction crossed the center line and smashed head-on into the bus about 10:20 a.m. Friday.
Ritchie says the bus driver and car driver were both taken to UPMC Presbyterian hospital. That's the nearest facility with a major trauma center. The passengers were taken to UPMC Shadyside hospital, which would suggest their injuries were less serious than the drivers'.
The names and conditions of the injured weren't immediately released.
