Savannah, GA : Two injured in crash involving scooter on Monday, January, 29th 2018
Metro’s Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating a vehicle versus scooter crash on Highway 80 that resulted in serious injuries Monday morning.
At about 5:35 a.m. officers responded to Highway 80 at Suncrest Boulevard and discovered two occupants of a Tao Tao 49cc scooter with injuries, said police spokeswoman Bianca Johnson.
According to a preliminary investigation, Ryan Neill, 32, of Savannah, was traveling west on Highway 80 in a 2011 Honda Odyssey when he struck the rear of the scooter, which was driven by Joseph Hardy, 46, of Savannah. Hardy and a passenger, Bryan Beckham, 20, also of Savannah, were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
