Teen Killed in 2-Car Crash in Maryland

Maryland State Police say a teenager was killed and three other people were injured when a car crossed the center line and hit an oncoming vehicle in Calvert County.It happened about 11 a.m. Wednesday on East Mount Harmony Road in Owings. Troopers say a car driven by 20-year-old Brittany N. Curl of Chesapeake Beach was traveling west when it crossed into eastbound traffic.Curl’s car hit a truck driven by 77-year-old Charles A. Wood of Dunkirk.A passenger in Curl’s car, 17-year-old Courtney G. Curl of Chesapeake Beach, was pronounced dead at the scene. Brittany Curl and another passenger, 10-year-old Peyton Curl of Chesapeake Beach, were flown to Washington hospitals. Wood was taken to a local hospital.The accident is under investigation.
