Montgomery, AL : Crash on Interstate 65 in Blount County leaves woman dead on Saturday, 29th October 2016
A crash in Blount County left a Hanceville woman dead.
The incident happened Saturday at 1:37 p.m., when Alicia Jean Harris was a passeger in a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe on Interstate 65.
According to Senior Trooper Chuck Daniel, Harris' car overturned two miles north of Warrior. She was not wearing a seatbelt, and was ejected from the vehicle.
Daniel said Harris, 28, died of her injuries at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.
The Tahoe was driven by Joshua Robert Mentzer, 20, also of Hanceville. He was injured and taken to UAB Hospital.
Alabama State Troopers are investigating the crash.
