Police say a man delivering newspapers in West Hartford has died after being struck by a pickup truck.
Capt. Jeff Rose says 64-year-old Belford Adolphus Muir had parked his car and was crossing a street to deliver copies of the Hartford Courant at about 6:30 a.m. Friday when he was struck.
He was taken to Hartford Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A section of South Main Street remains closed for the investigation.
There was no word on charges.
