A motorcyclist is dead after a collision with a vehicle in Chandler.

Police say the accident happened near Bullmoose Drive and Warner Road on Friday night.

According to investigators, the motorcyclist was riding eastbound on Warner when it crashed into a car.

Police say the male rider was wearing a helmet but he was severely injured.

He was taken to a hospital where he died of his injuries.

His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

There were no other injuries reported.

Investigators say speed may be a factor on the part of the motorcyclist. Impairment does not appear to be involved.
