PORTLAND, OR : 1 dead, 2 hospitalized after SW Portland crash on Friday, 21st July 2023

A driver faces manslaughter and DUII charges after a serious crash that killed one person and hospitalized two others in Southwest Portland early Friday morning, according to Portland police.

Investigators say that a silver 2011 Toyota Scion TC driven by 26-year-old Espoir M. Kaneke had been speeding eastbound on Southwest Barbur Boulevard without headlights when it crashed into a silver 2011 Honda Odyssey minivan heading northbound on Southwest 22nd Avenue.
