Portland, OR : Motorcyclist critically injured in SUV crash on Friday evening, September 4th 2015

A motorcyclist was critically injured Friday evening in a crash with a SUV, according to Portland police.
Police were called to 44th Avenue and East Burnside at about 6:20 p.m.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
Police said the intersection will be closed for several hours and they investigate the crash.
