BRADENTON, FL : A 60-year-old man died after a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck on April, Thursday 27th 2017
A 60-year-old man died after a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck Thursday morning in Bradenton.
Kevin Haas, of Bradenton, died of his injuries in a 7 a.m. crash at the intersection of Ninth Street West and Sixth Avenue West. A 19-year-old man driving a black pickup truck was uninjured.
For several hours, traffic in Bradenton and Palmetto was slowed as police continued their investigation at one of the busiest intersections in the area. Traffic to the intersection had reopened after police cruisers had blocked northbound, southbound and eastbound traffic for several hours.
Bradenton police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
Haas was most likely on his way to work at Die-Verse Tool and Manufacturing Co., said the business’ vice president Jeff Bauman. He worked at the Palmetto business since 2009 as a computer numerical controlled machinist.
“He was a great employee,” Bauman said.
Outside of work Haas loved his motorcycle, he added. It made him happy.
