Deming, N.M : Pedestrian killed in collision on I-10 in Deming on Sunday, May 22, 2016

New Mexico State Police are searching for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Deming.

Authorities say the accident happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 10.

According to police, 34-year-old Amanda Armendariz, of Deming, was hit by a car heading eastbound.
Armendariz was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not located the suspect vehicle or the driver.

They also did not have any description of either.

The incident remains under investigation.
