Chesterton,IN : Motorist dies in Toll Road crash on May,Monday 28th 2018

A motorist was killed on Monday in a single-vehicle accident on the Indiana Toll Road in Porter County, the Indiana State Police said.The victim was identified as Ashay V. Kparker M.D., 41, of Burr Ridge, Ill.According to police, at 12:03 a.m. Kparker was westbound on the Toll Road when, approximately two miles east of the Ind. 49 exit, his 2018 Infiniti left the roadway and hit a guardrail on the south side, causing the vehicle to “nose-dive into the grassy median, where it came to rest facing eastbound.”The Porter County Coroner’s Office pronounced Kparker dead at the scene of blunt force trauma.“Kparker was not wearing his seatbelt, which contributed to his fatal injuries,” police said.The results of a routine toxicology screen are pending, Coroner Chuck Harris said.Assisting at the scene was the Porter County Sheriff’s Police.
