One person was killed and another seriously injured in a crash in Chesterfield Wednesday morning.
The head-on wreck happened at 11:25 a.m. on US 52 near Bethel Church Road. Troopers say a Chevy pick-up truck going south on US 52 went left of the center line and struck a 4-door Mitsubishi.
The driver of the Mitsubishi was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's name has not been released.
The 35-year-old driver of the Chevy was airlifted to McLeod Hospital in Florence. There is no word on the extent of his injuries or his current condition.
Investigators say both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
