Molalla, OR : 57- Years old Margaret M. Brokaw killed after her car drifted off the highway and struck a tree on Thursday afternoon ,April 23 2015

A 57-year-old Molalla woman died Thursday afternoon when her car drifted off the highway and struck a tree.

Lt. Josh Brooks, an Oregon State Police spokesman, said Margaret M. Brokaw was traveling north on Oregon 211 in a 2006 Ford Escape when for an undetermined reason her car left the highway, traveled down a slight embankment and hit a tree.

Brokaw was pronounced dead at the scene of the 4:30 p.m. crash on the highway at milepost 10 near South Bear Meadows Court.

The crash remains under investigation.
