CANDIA, NH : Man dies following multi-car crash in Candia on July, Monday 3rd 2017

A man died from his injuries following a crash on Route 101 Monday.

At approximately 2:21 p.m., state police were notified and responded to a multi-car crash located on Route 101, just east of exit 2 in Candia.

Upon arrival at the scene, the investigation revealed a red 2005 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck, driven by Maximillian Starkey, 37 of Boscawen, was traveling eastbound on Route 101. Starkey failed to recognize traffic congestion ahead of him and rear-ended a green 2017 Honda HR-V, driven by Howard Johnson, 72 of Raymond.

This caused Johnson’s vehicle lose control and overturn, striking a grey 2010 Mini Cooper, driven by Jessica Drew, 31, of Candia.

Johnson suffered life-threatening injuries and died at the hospital. Starkey and an underage female passenger in his car suffered minor injuries, while Drew did not suffer any injuries.
