Clermont County, OH : Woman killed in Batavia Twp. crash early Sunday morning, August 7, 2016

A female passenger of a car was killed when the driver lost control and struck a utility pole in Batavia Township early Sunday morning, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Stephen Pasley Jr., 30, of Amelia, was driving with Angela Estep, 28, of Batavia, on Amelia Olive Branch Road at approximately 1:30 a.m., officials said.

The 2000 Pontiac the pair was traveling in went off the right side of the road and hit the pole. Estep was pronounced dead at the scene in Clermont County, according to the highway patrol.

Pasley was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment. His condition is unknown.

Investigators state alcohol may have contributed to the crash. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate.
