Port Charlotte, FL : Two 21-year-olds die in single-vehicle crash on Monday, December 5th, 2016
Two 21-year-olds died in a single-vehicle crash in Port Charlotte early Monday morning, according to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol. Wesley Chery, of Port Charlotte, was driving a 2015 Nissan Versa northbound on U.S. 41 north of Harbor Boulevard around 2:30 a.m. when the vehicle ran off the roadway to the right and entered a drainage ditch.
The vehicle reportedly went airborne and collided with a roadway sign and a tree on the east shoulder, before coming to rest in the parking lot of the Animal Clinic at 3300 Tamiami Trail.
