Davenport,IA :Fatal crash on I-80 in Davenport; names of victims released on Monday, July 6th 2015

Two people were killed and one critically injured after a single vehicle accident early Monday morning. Police say the accident happened just after 2 a.m. on eastbound I-80 between Northwest Boulevard and Brady Street.Police say the driver of a Dodge truck, 30-year-old Marcos Wheeler of Davenport and passenger Mario Obregon, age 29, of Muscatine died at the scene. Another passenger, 24-year-old Augustine Teneyuque of Muscatine was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City in critical condition.Police say the men were traveling eastbound when the driver lost control. The truck rolled/flipped in the median and Wheeler and Obregon were ejected from the truck. Police say based on preliminary information the cause of the crash is believed to be related to alcohol, speed and loss of control. Autopsies are pending.I-80 was shut down for hours. Police were able to get one lane back open to traffic after some time. Both lanes reopened by 6:30 a.m.
