Commerce, OK : Miami man dies in a wreck in Ottawa County on Tuesday, February 21, 2017

A Miami man died Tuesday in a wreck on a highway in Ottawa County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

About 6:15 a.m., Bennie Cummings, 79, was driving a pickup east on U.S. 69A, about a half-mile east of Commerce. The pickup collided with a westbound vehicle and was then struck head-on by a sport utility vehicle, troopers said.

Cummings, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene. The drivers of the two other vehicles were not seriously injured, the patrol reported.
