Deerfield Township, OH : One person critically injured after SUV and Box truck collision on Route 14 in Deerfield on Tuesday, February 24, 2015
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious injury crash that occurred on State Route 14 about 11:16 a.m. Tuesday.
A 1999 Dodge Durango was westbound on State Route 14 and a 2013 Isuzu N-Series Truck was traveling eastbound on State Route 14. The Dodge went left of center, striking the Isuzu head-on.
The 1999 Dodge Durango was driven by James V. Romosca, 52, of Deerfield, Ohio. Romosca was taken from the scene by Life Flight to St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown where he is listed in critical condition. He was not wearing his safety belt.
The 2013 Isuzu N-Series Truck was driven by Dennis M. Yukich, Jr., 37, of Alliance. He was taken from the scene by Palmyra Township EMS to Robinson Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He was wearing his safety belt.
Alcohol and speed do not appear to be a factor in the crash. This crash remains under investigation.
