BUFFALO GAP, TX : Abilene woman killed in crash near Buffalo Gap identified on Wednesday, 10th July 2019

An Abilene woman died Tuesday after a one-vehicle crash a half-mile north of here on FM 89, the Texas Department of Public Safety said in a news release.

Wynona Harris Hollister, 79, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet passenger vehicle south at about 10:30 a.m when the it went off the west side of the road. The vehicle struck a guardrail, rolled over into a creek and came to rest in the upright position, according to a preliminary DPS report.

Hollister, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
