Police in Lake City say two people were killed in a head-on collision on the west side of the northeastern Arkansas town. Authorities say 40-year-old Kenneth Collins Jr. and 33-year-old Matthew Rutherford died in the collision that occurred about 8:45 p.m. Saturday. The crash at the intersection of Highways 18 and 135 shut down the highways until about midnight. Police told KAIT that the crash happened when a pickup truck being driven eastbound crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a westbound Jeep Wrangler.
