Owensboro, KY : OPD recruit dies after ATV wreck on Monday, July 24, 2017

A recent recruit to the Owensboro Police Department died Monday from injuries sustained in Sunday morning ATV accident off Kentucky 144.

Kenneth "Blake" Roberts, 32, of Owensboro died at 4:59 p.m. Monday at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Roberts was hired by OPD as an officer in May and is enrolled in the state police academy in Richmond.
