Gray, ME : Timothy Lukas, 58, injured when tractor-trailer crashes in Maine on Tuesday, January 20, 2015
A New Hampshire man was injured Tuesday when the tractor-trailer he was driving crashed on the Maine Turnpike.
Maine State Police said the driver lost control of the tractor-trailer at mile 59 in the northbound lane about 12:30 p.m. The truck ended up alongside the road between guardrails and a rock ledge, but it remained upright.
The driver, Timothy Lukas, 58, of Northwood, New Hampshire, had minor injuries and was taken to Maine Medical Center.
Police said it was unclear what caused the crash.
Northbound traffic was reduced to one lane for most of the afternoon, but police said traffic was back to normal by late afternoon.
The tractor-trailer is owned by S.J. Transport, of Lee, New Hampshire, and was hauling paper products.
