A High Point woman faces several misdemeanor charges after police said she caused a wreck about 10 a.m. today that killed her cousin.
Hema Mongar, 20, of High Point is charged with death by motor vehicle, failure to stop at red light and violating drivers license restriction.
Investigators said a pickup headed north on Business 85 got off on the exit for Interstate 74, and Mongar, who was eastbound on Interstate 74 in a Honda Accord, used the exit for Business 85. She failed to stop at the red light, causing a “T-bone” style collision with the F-150.
