Shawnee, OK : Semi accident slows morning commute on May, Thursday, 25th 2017

Emergency crews responded to an accident that involved a semi on Interstate 40 Thursday morning.

The accident occurred in the construction zone west of U.S. Highway 177, resulting in the slowing of east and westbound traffic.

One lane of I-40 west was closed during cleanup.

Spilled fuel caused a fire that had to be extinguished by emergency crews.
