Cape Coral, FL : Driver dead, Passenger injured in Fatal motorcycle crash in Cape Coral Sunday night, October 12, 2014

Cape Coral police say a motorcyclist died after running a stop sign late Sunday night at the intersection of Retunda Parkway and Country Club Boulevard in Cape Coral. Police say an investigation revealed that the motorcyclist ran a stop sign and struck a concrete median, which ejected both the driver and the passenger from the motorcycle. The driver, identified as Santiago Cadavid-Velasquez, of Fort Myers, died at the scene. The passenger, identified as Liset Dayana Sanchez-Castro, was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police say she is listed in critical condition.
