SCOTT TOWNSHIP, OH : A Wood County man was killed in a fiery crash on Sunday, 22nd April 2018

A Wood County man was killed in a fiery crash Sunday when the pickup he was driving went off the road and slammed into a tree, causing the vehicle to catch fire.

The state Highway Patrol identified him as Eric Daniels, 49, of Risingsun.

Mr. Daniels was headed north at about 1:20 a.m. on County Road 4 in Scott Township, Sandusky County when his pickup left the road, troopers said.

Mr. Daniels was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.
