Aiken County, SC : Motorcyclist dies after crash on Highway 1 near Duncan Road on Saturday, August 6, 2016

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a motorcyclist died one day after being involved in a crash in Aiken County.

Troopers say the crash occurred on Highway 1 near Duncan Road at about 4 p.m. Saturday when the motorcycle ran into the rear end of a car. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to a hospital in Augusta but died Sunday.

Troopers say the motorcycle driver was not wearing a helmet. The Aiken County Coroner has not yet released the victim's name.

The driver of the car was not injured.
