Troopers said at least one person is dead after a crash in Greenville County on Friday.
They got the call around 6:34 p.m.
Troopers said the incident happened at Godfrey Road and Batesville Road in Simposnville.
The roadway was reportedly blocked due to the crash.
The coroner said the deceased victim was a 38-year-old man. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene, and his cause of death was listed as multi-body trauma. His manner of death was listed as an accident.
According to Coroner Parks Evans, the victim was wearing a helmet and riding on a red moped along Batesville Road when he struck a dark grey Chevrolet SUV attempting to cross over Batesville Road.
The driver of the SUV was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
EMS, Pelham-Batesville Fire Department, SC Highway Patrol and the Coroner's Office all responded to the scene.
The coroner will not release the victim's identity until his next of kin has been notified. Charges are pending in the incident.
