Alexandria, LA : Boyce man collects 3rd DWI charge after crash on February, Sunday 18th 2018

A Boyce man ran off a road early Sunday, hit a light pole and racked up his third DWI charge, according to police.

The Alexandria Police Department responded to a crash in the 700 block of Twin Bridges Road around 12:45 a.m., near the intersection of Coty Drive and Bruyninckx Road.

When they spoke with the driver, it appeared that he was impaired, reads the release. The man, 35-year-old Nathan Dunn of the 3800 block of La. Highway 121, also fell asleep numerous times as officers tried to talk to him, it reads.

After a DWI investigation, Dunn was arrested and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center. He was charged with third-offense DWI, careless operation of a vehicle and driving under suspension.

Dunn was not listed on the online jail roster on Monday morning.
