Several people were injured, including two kids, when a car collided with a logging truck in Batesburg-Leesville Thursday morning.Batesburg-Leesville Police say the car was headed north on N. Lee Street when it drifted left near E. Church Street and hit a logging truck. The impact caused the vehicle to spin around.The woman in a vehicle behind the logging truck noticed an 8-year-old girl who was in the front passenger seat of the vehicle in distress. The woman pulled the girl from the car and started administering CPR.The driver and two kids in the car were taken to the hospital. After the 8-year-old was placed in the ambulance, EMT's managed to get a pulse. Her condition is now stable at the hospital.The driver of the logging truck also was taken to the hospital. The extent of all the injuries has not been released.“One of the children is in very bad condition. A citizen gave that child CPR on the scene and was helping until the ambulance could get here and take all the children and two adults to the hospital,'' Batesburg Leesville Police Chief Wallace Oswald said.Police have not yet determined what caused the car to drift left. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is assisting in the investigation.
