MIDDLEFIELD, OH : 2-vehicle crash kills Middlefield woman on Friday, September 1, 2017
The Chardon post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon that killed a Middlefield woman.
The crash occurred at state Route 528, just north of Adams Road.
A report states Mary B. Miller, 77, of Middlefield, was traveling southbound in a 2002 Dodge Neon on state Route 528, and a southbound 2011 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Logan M. Campbell, 20, of Middlefield, tried to pass Miller’s car. At this time, Miller’s car was trying to turn left into a driveway.
The Silverado struck the driver’s side of the Neon, the report states. Both Campbell and Miller were transported by ambulance to the hospital, and Miller later was pronounced dead, the report states.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and no drugs or alcohol were factors, the report states.
