Lee,FL : Fatal motorcycle crash blocks NB US-41 in Lee County on August, Wednesday 2nd 2017

The northbound lanes of US-41 are shut down following a fatal crash involving a LeeTran bus and a motorcycle.

San Carlos Park Fire District arrived on the scene near the intersection of Constitution Boulevard – about two miles south of Alico Road – at 12:55 p.m.

The bus driver and passengers were not injured; however, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to San Carlos Fire officials.

They say the road will remain closed for several hours. Drivers are urged to find an alternate route as troopers investigate.
