Fairview, NC : One person died and other injured after a car crash in Buncombe County on Sunday night, Oct 18, 2015

One person was killed and other was hospitalized with life threatening injuries after a car crash in Buncombe County Sunday night, according to emergency dispatchers.

The single-vehicle crash happened along Charlotte Highway in the Fairview area just before 8 p.m.

Dispatchers said a car ran off an embankment.

One person in the car was pronounced dead at the scene and a second was rushed to Mission Hospital.
