A woman suffered serious injuries early Tuesday after a vehicle slammed into a utility pole in Antioch, according to Metro police.

Emergency crews responded to a report of a crash with injuries about 2 a.m. at 660 Bell Road off Hickory Highlands Drive and found a wrecked truck, a dispatcher said.

A woman who was in the truck was taken to a hospital.

Her condition and the cause of the wreck were not immediately known.
