Savannah, GA : Two children ejected from vehicle in Savannah DUI crash on Saturday morning, April 4, 2015
Drunk driving charges have been filed against a man in a crash that left three children injured in coastal Georgia.
Savannah-Chatham County police say two boys, ages 2 and 5, were ejected from a vehicle during a crash early Saturday morning. Department spokesman Eunicia Baker said in a statement that 44-year-old Frederick Cobbs is accused of running a red light and hitting the vehicle the children were riding in before hitting a second car.
Miller says the 2-year-old boy was seriously injured. Authorities say the 5-year-old boy and an 8-year-old child were also hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
Chatham County jail records show that Cobbs is being held on $3,500 bond and it's unclear if he has an attorney. Miller says the crash is under investigation.
