Fairmont, NE : 20-year-old woman dead in a one-vehicle accident in Fillmore County on Sunday, May 15, 2016

A 20-year-old woman from Fairmont was pronounced dead Sunday at the scene of a one-vehicle accident in Fillmore County.

Hannah Finan was the only occupant of a 1998 Dodge sedan that was found in a farm pond, according to the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to County Road D east of U.S. Highway 81 about 1:30 p.m. Investigators determined the car was eastbound on County Road D when it left the road and drove across a driveway and through a yard before entering the pond.

Fairmont is about 20 miles south of York.
