Fort Wayne, IN : Decatur man dies in crash on Monday, December, 18th 2017

A 59-year-old Decatur man died Monday morning after the truck he was driving barreled into a utility pole, police said.

Lee G. Springer went off the road at Indiana 19 and 800 North sometime before 10:47 a.m., the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department said in a news release.

Springer's 2002 Ford F-250 struck a fence and the pole before the vehicle eventually came to rest in a field west of Indiana 19 near Etna Green.

The county coroner's office pronounced Springer dead at the scene, the release said.

The crash remains under investigation.
