Anchorage , AK :Caller rescues man injured in Sterling Highway car crash on Saturday , June 13th 2015
A good Samaritan dragged a Kasilof man from his burning car on the Sterling Highway after a single-vehicle wreck early Saturday, according to Alaska State Troopers.A Sunday AST dispatch said troopers in Anchor Point were informed at about 3 a.m. of the crash, which occurred on the highway near Ninilchik.“The vehicle was on fire and the driver was trapped inside,” troopers wrote. “The complainant extricated the driver, Francisco Brownnavarro, 20, of Kasilof from the white Chevrolet Cobalt he was driving.”Responders from Ninilchik arrived to put out the fire, with Brownnavarro taken to Central Peninsula Hospital for treatment of his injuries.Troopers are continuing to investigate the factors which led to the crash of the Cobalt, which was towed from the scene.
