BRENTWOOD, CA : A 51-year-old Tracy woman was killed on Monday, December, 18th 2017

A 51-year-old Tracy woman was killed Monday night when her vehicle went off the roadway and ended up in a field, authorities said Tuesday.

The Contra Costa coroner identified her as Ivette Montes.

The California Highway Patrol said she was by herself in a vehicle driving in the 200 block of Balfour Road east of Deer Valley Road about 11:44 p.m. Monday when the vehicle went off the north side of the roadway and through a fence before rolling over and coming to rest in a field.

The woman, who was partially ejected, was pronounced dead at the scene.

What caused the crash is under investigation.

A Sig Alert was issued while officers investigated. Traffic lanes were reopened at 3:26 a.m. Tuesday.
